Progressive side bets: Games like Caribbean Stud Poker often have one of these. You typically place a bet (a dollar is the normal amount) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although huge jackpots like these are particularly alluring, they are also particularly difficult to succeed. You would have to get a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, think about this- you play twenty hands and make the side wager every time. That is 20 dollars you should have used towards the real game bet in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a bet with better odds using that $20.
Individual number wagers in Roulette: This is particularly true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the complete house edge from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a whopping fivepercent in American. The single number bet has just a one in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers alternately which have a much smaller casino advantage.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you gamble on it, the casino advantage can be a huge 25%. No, that isn’t a error. Due to the large set of numbers you must pick, it is not advisable to gamble on Keno to often. A few times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t waste all your money on it or you will quickly discover yourself beaten.
